Fall Festival Pic

I forgot I wanted to add these pictures for Rush and Carley. That is Riley giving his older brother, Mason, a noogie (sp?). The kids all had fun together and Mason didn't mind the noogie either.

Dancing with the Princess

Casey Ann caught Diesel and Sadie dancing around to some music and got it on video.

Trampoline Fun

Ryan and I watched the kids for a while so the girls could run some errands and they were buggin' us as usually so we banished them to the backyard. But they got bored quickly, so I started the sprinkler and they jumped on the trampoline with water spraying from underneath. I think they did that for over an hour. Brynley used to do that at Casey Ann's parents house in Utah.

Halloween at the Conrads

This was Diesel's first trick-or-treating experience and he got the hang of it after a few houses. The kids had a blast with each other. We also got to see the Welkers at a neighborhood get together also. It was good to visit with them also.

Also, our A/C wasn't working all day Friday (Halloween) and since we were heading to the Conrad's to take the kids trick or treating, Misty offered to let us sleep there afterwards. They gladly offered up their best cushions and carpet and most importantly their nice cold A/C. Luckily the A/C guy fixed things up Saturday morning and we were able to sleep in own beds.

The kids loved it and we had a great time.

Did you vote?

I was able to go vote in person this morning.  I tried voting last Friday, but the line was 3 hrs long and I had other plans, so I had to leave.  Plus, it was about 94 degrees that day and line was outside.   So I woke up at 5am this morning and went down to Peoria High School and stood in line to vote.  I was 11th in line.  If I had to wait in line for hours, I'd rather wait in the cool morning instead of the hot afternoon and before taking Brynley to school and getting the kids ready for the day.

The polls opened at 6am to cheers from the crowd of about 75 people behind me.  I got in, reviewed each measure, voted and got out before the sun came up.  Everyone else was eager to cast their votes as well.  I felt very patriotic while voting.

We truly live in a blessed land, and even though we're going through hard times, it is definitely worse in other countries, so I'm very grateful to live here.
